Free keyword rank checker
Where does your site rank on Google? Enter a domain and a few keywords to see the position on the first page of results — and who ranks above you. No account, no card.
What this checks, and what it does not
It asks Google the way a new searcher in the market you picked would, with no search history or signed-in account, and reads the first page of organic results. Subdomains count as your site; a lookalike domain does not.
It stops at the top 10, because every check is a paid query and this page has no meter. A position you check once also tells you little on its own: rankings move daily. An account tracks your keywords every day, down to the top 100, with competitors, a position chart and an email when something drops. New accounts get 50 free credits — one credit per keyword, per device, per results page.
One number on its own is also worth less than people expect, because the position you see in your own browser is personalised by your history, location and device. Why your Google rank looks different covers what moves it and how to measure it so the number means something, and how to check your Google ranking compares this against Search Console and a manual search.
If a keyword you used to rank for has disappeared, why did my Google rankings drop works through the causes in the order worth ruling them out.
Not ranking at all?
A page that is not in Google's index cannot rank for anything. Before working on keywords, confirm the page is indexed — the free index checker answers that for up to 10 URLs, and why is my page not indexed covers what to do if it is not.
Questions
- Is the keyword rank checker free?
- Yes. The checker on this page needs no account: enter a domain and up to 3 keywords and you get the Google position for each, from the first page of results. An account adds 50 free credits for daily tracking, with no card required.
- How deep does the free check look?
- The first page of Google — the top 10. If your site is further down, the free check says it is not in the top 10. Tracked projects in the app can scan the top 30 or top 100.
- Which country and device are the rankings for?
- The market you pick — a country and a language, such as Vietnam in Vietnamese or the United States in English — on desktop or mobile. Rankings differ between markets and devices, so the check asks Google as a searcher there would.
- Why does my position differ from what I see in my own browser?
- Your own searches are personalised by your history, location and signed-in account. This check asks Google without any of that, which is closer to what a new searcher in that market sees.
- How much does daily tracking cost?
- One credit per keyword per device per results page. Checking 20 keywords in the top 10 every day costs 20 credits a day; a scan that finds your site early stops there, and failed lookups are refunded.
